Also known as the False Piraiba, Salton Catfish or Peruvian Piraiba. This fish is not to be confused with it River Monster cousin, the true Piraiba from Brazil and Suriname. The capapretum does not reach as big of a size. They only reach 28 to 30". This fish is a good alternative to the real Piraiba which can reach 8 feet long.
